Chytrý Honza and Karolína Plíšková helping children together

Chytrý Honza and Karolína Plíšková helping children together

Chytrý Honza has joined with tennis player Karolína Plíšková to help kids who need it the most by donating €200 for every ace that Karolína scores in the US Open in New York to the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Clinic at the Motol University Hospital. The donations are being made via Karolína’s charitable foundation.

In connection with efforts to energise fans during the US Open, Chytrý Honza initiated the #ACEQUEEN project on the website at acequeen.cz in which social-network users can get involved. Those posting videos with messages for Karolína include singer Vojta Dyk, hockey play David Pastrňák, footballer Marek Jankulovski and the popular musical duo Těžkej Pokondr.

“I’m very pleased that I can contribute to charity through my playing. Besides absolute concentration, the basic requisite for winning is sufficient motivation. And thanks to this project, my motivation is that much greater,” says Karolína Plíšková, the current WTA world number one.

Following yesterday’s loss to CoCo Vandeweghe, Karolína unfortunately will not appear in the final of the prestigious tournament. However, thanks to the 33 aces she scored against her opponents, the final amount donated to fight paediatric cancer reached €6,600.
