After nearly a year, we have relaunched our magazine from the world of Rockaway Capital under the name Hrana. Why did we choose the name Hrana? Mainly because it clearly reflects our philosophy of pushing the boundaries of ambition and seeking opportunities for growth. We want to make the magazine a place where you’ll find not only the latest information, news, and stories, but also a glimpse into how we think about business and investments within the group. We’re now bringing you Hrana with a fresh new look.
But it wasn’t just Hrana that changed. Over the past year, the entire Rockaway Capital group has also undergone a significant transformation. We opened the Rockaway Fund to qualified investors and consolidated our key assets into a new structure. That is one of the reasons why we organized the Backstage by Rockaway investment conference in mid-May, which is the main topic of this issue. For us, Backstage is more than just a conference. It is a space for open discussion among investors, entrepreneurs, founders, and people from the tech and cultural sectors who want to share their experiences and inspire one another.
Over the course of five hours, the conference offered a diverse range of perspectives on current opportunities in markets and industries that have the potential to shape not only the future of the Czech Republic, but of all of Europe. Rockaway founder Jakub Havrlant outlined his vision for the group’s future, while Michal Pěchouček, rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague and one of the world’s leading experts on AI, spoke about investments in technology. Tomáš Salomon, CEO of Česká spořitelna, emphasized the need to change the structure of investments to ensure the Czech Republic’s future prosperity.
A total of 28 speakers took the stage across a wide variety of panels, and you can find a summary of the highlights from their presentations in the latest issue of the magazine.
You can download the new magazine in PDF format HERE. We hope you find it inspiring.
