Rockaway Arts brings together investment, culture and the arts. Its portfolio includes some of the most prominent cultural projects in the Czech Republic: the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Colours of Ostrava and Designblok. We’re now looking for a Financial Analyst to help us keep an eye on their finances and take part in decisions about how they grow.
You’ll be a great fit if you’re confident with numbers and want to apply them in the cultural sector. You’ll prepare financial analyses, models and project budgets, and put together clear materials for management. The team will rely on your numbers when making decisions. You don’t need years of experience – what matters is attention to detail, strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn. We do expect you to stand behind your work and be able to defend it.
What you’ll do
- Prepare financial analyses, calculations and materials for decisions on Rockaway Arts projects.
- Work with budgets and monitor cash flow and costs of individual projects.
- Handle regular reporting and prepare clear materials for management.
- Coordinate projects – keep track of deadlines, collect input from teams and see things through.
- Communicate daily with project teams, the accounting department and colleagues across the group.
- Use AI tools like Claude as a regular part of your work, from analysis to project coordination.
What you’ll need
- Confidence with numbers – you understand them and can pick out what matters.
- A degree in economics or finance.
- Very good Excel skills (formulas, working with data, clear outputs).
- Attention to detail, reliability and a willingness to learn new things.
- Interest in AI and curiosity about how it can help with analysis and reporting.
- Interest in culture and the arts – you go to concerts, exhibitions or festivals and want to see how they work on the business side.
Nice to have
- Experience in controlling or reporting.
- Experience in investment, finance, consulting or project management.
- Basic knowledge of accounting.
- A good sense of what’s happening in culture and on the music or art scene.
